RENTAL TERMS AND DESCRIPTION
The price for a three-day, two-night weekend stay includes:

€75 per person per night, or €150 per person for the weekend.

Six vegetarian meals.

Snacks (biscuits, sweets, fruit, etc.), tea and coffee.

Accommodation in rooms with air conditioning, underfloor heating, mosquito screens and Wi-Fi. Most rooms have private bathrooms, towels. The two rooms next to the meditation hall have a separate toilet and shower on the ground floor.

A 150 m² Dharma (meditation) hall.

Use of fire pits, with firewood provided.

Two gazebos and two kitchens.

An outdoor kitchen with a pizza and bread oven.

A 160 cm LCD screen.

A powerful JBL 710 speaker.

Laundry and drying service.

The minimum group size is 15 people, unless a different fixed price is agreed for the weekend. Prices for smaller groups or other non-standard arrangements are agreed individually. We also take into account the nature of the organiser’s practice, the length of the retreat and the number of participants. Special rates are available for charitable retreats and retreats run at cost.

The minimum group size for weekend retreats is 15 people, unless a fixed price is agreed separately. Weekday rental terms are agreed individually. Discounts are available for stays of more than two nights.

Prices may vary depending on the number of people, the length of the stay and specific requirements.

Gong and other percussion instrument rental: €100 per day.

Gong therapy or mantra meditation: two 45-minute sessions for €300, or one 45-minute session for €200.

Sauna: €125. Hot tub: €125. There is no hourly limit.

The initial deposit is €750 plus 12% VAT. If paying it all at once is difficult, payment in instalments can be arranged. A second deposit payment of €750 plus 12% VAT is due two months before the event.

From 1 July to 25 August, the minimum weekend rental is three nights. This requirement does not apply to groups of more than 25 people.

Zen Miškas is a welcoming retreat on the banks of the Neris River, at the edge of the historic village of Čiobiškis. Nearby are ninth-century burial mounds, Lithuania’s only motorless ferry, the Čiobiškis caves, the Janonys and Budeliai hillforts, a manor, pine forests and scenic riverbanks.
We prepare delicious vegetarian food on site, inspired by cuisines from around the world. Our three houses have 11 rooms and can accommodate groups of up to 35 people. Zen Miškas has a 150 m² hall with beautiful views of a bend in the Neris River. There is also a modern sauna and an outdoor hot tub beside the pond.
All this is just 60 km from Vilnius and 70 km from Kaunas.
In the main house, six rooms on the ground floor have their own toilets and showers. Two rooms upstairs have the best views; they share a dedicated toilet and shower just downstairs.
There is also a 130 m² Dharma hall for meditation and workshops, equipped with meditation cushions, mats and warm blankets.
The teachers’ cottage has a double room with a kitchen downstairs. Upstairs, a 40 m² space can serve either as a bedroom for six people or as an additional practice space.
We also have a modern electric sauna with the Saunum system (www.saunum.lt) and an outdoor hot tub.
All rooms and the hall have air conditioning. The rooms in the main house also have underfloor heating and mosquito screens. The teachers’ cottage has a fireplace insert and air conditioning. For groups wishing to cook outdoors, there is a beautifully crafted kitchen with a wood-fired oven and a pizza compartment.
The hot tub stands beside the pond, overlooking a bend in the river. Even during a snowstorm, it is a lovely place to relax after practice. A little deeper in the woods, you will find the modern sauna with the Saunum system.

From Vilnius: Take the Ukmergė road. At approximately the 35 km mark, turn towards Bartkuškis and continue to Musninkai. After the church in Musninkai, turn left towards Čiobiškis (12 km). Cross the white bridge in Čiobiškis; about 200 m later, turn left immediately after the cemetery.
From Kaunas: Pass the Čiobiškis sign and turn right before the cemetery. When you reach the church in Čiobiškis, turn left, then immediately right downhill. After 70 m, turn left onto the unpaved road towards the river. The road bends to the right and leads to the retreat.
Please note: The gates you see just after turning from the school onto the gravel road are not ours. Continue past them on the left and the road will bring you directly into our courtyard.
